‘Music in the Park’ & ‘Street Talk.’
Since the launch of ‘Music in the Park’ and ‘Street Talk’ community activities, Strathalbyn and surrounding communities have been helping reduce community isolation.
Held at the central park in Strathalbyn, ‘Music in the Park’ has created a space for people in the community to connect while listening to local artists.
With the generous support of the local Rotary Club, ‘Street Talk’ provides a free sausage sizzle to connect with locals about the support available through our Strathalbyn & Communities Suicide Prevention Network.
Established in 2012, Wesley Lifeforce’s Strathalbyn & Communities Suicide Prevention Network was one of the first networks in South Australia and was launched in response to the community’s need to reduce suicide. The network received $5000 seed funding, which has been used to inform the community about support services.
