A blue tractor has become a unique and powerful symbol for mental health and suicide prevention awareness in the farming communities of Boonah and the Fassifern Valley of the Scenic Rim in Queensland.
Located in a busy rest area on the Boonah-Ipswich Road, the blue tractor is a reminder for anyone who sees it to reach out for help and to connect with support services.
This blue tractor is an initiative of Wesley LifeForce’s suicide prevention network in Fassifern. Established in February 2021, the Fassifern Suicide Prevention Network was launched to wider rural communities in response to a request to support suicide prevention in Boonah.
Since the network launched, the members have been able to build greater awareness and educate the wider community about suicide prevention.
